I’m Sara, a Mom and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in children.

When my son was a year old he became ill. We spent a week in hospital trying to figure out what was going wrong before surgery was performed. I spent hours going down rabbit holes researching his condition.

The information online was overwhelming. It confusing, clinical, and honestly, not easy to understand. A lot of effort was spent making sense of the information. That was three years ago.

My goal is approachable, clear and simple insider insight with you. I save mothers time and anxiety by sharing what I know about the best ways to advocate for, and support their children with brain based medical conditions.

What I talk about will be clear, concise and easy to wrap your head around. I take the tricky questions and topics and make them bite sized and easy to understand.

I want to give you a backstage pass. Come behind the curtain with me.

CONDITIONS DISCUSSED

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Stress and Anxiety

  • Depression, irritability and sadness

HOW I OFFER SUPPORT TO MOTHERS

The fifteen minute doctor’s visits that we have been condition to accept as ‘normal’ do not allow mothers to fully grasp and question what they are being told.

Information, if provided, is not understood because it is not delivered in a way that is clear and accessible.

Retention sure isn’t happening.  You leave the appointment to realize that you have been sent up the creek without a paddle.

So let me show you how to build your motor.

It begins with accessible, actionable advice that you can use as soon as you are done reading. No nonsense blog posts and helpful printable resources are provided.

Start going to your child’s medical appointments confident and informed. Support your child in a way that empowers you both. Stop feeling emotionally exhausted and overwhelmed.

My offerings will support you in asking the questions that matter and challenge what doesn’t sit right with you. One of my goals is that you will be able to offer suggestions that your child’s healthcare provider may not yet have considered.

You know your child better than anyone else. That is your expertise. Let me boost that superpower by teaching you everything I know about their brain based medical condition. It will be bite size and easy to read and understand.

No Nursing or Medical degree required, just the desire to help your child reach their full social emotional vibrancy.
